At Temple Private Limited (together with our subsidiaries, "we," "us,", "Temple" or "our"), our mission is to help you understand and improve your overall general wellness without compromising your privacy. The information generated through your use of Temple is deeply personal, and we handle it with care and responsibility. We collect and use Personal Data only to deliver accurate insights, enhance your experience, and improve our products and services, as further detailed in this Privacy Policy ("Policy"). We may collect Personal Data directly from you ("you" or "User"), or basis your use of the Temple wearable device (the "Device"), the accompanying Temple mobile application (the "App"), and all related activities via the software, websites, email communications, social media channels, and through any of our other associated online or offline activities, campaigns, or services (collectively, the "Services"); through our partners and other organizations that engage with our Services, including but not limited to, marketing and promotional partners and other third-party accounts to sign in to the Services.
Our Services are not directed at children (as defined under applicable laws), and the Temple Device is intended for purchase and use by adults only.

Our Commitments to You — Your trust is paramount. We want to be clear about what we do not do with your personal information:
- We do not sell your personal or health data to any third parties in exchange for money.
- We do not use your wellness and derived data for advertising or marketing purposes, unless such data is in an aggregated form.
- We do not share your personal data with insurance companies or employers without your explicit consent, which we will obtain separately.
2. Data Storage, Retention, and Transfer
Please be aware that your personal information may be transferred to, stored, and processed in India or any other country where we or our third-party service providers maintain facilities.
3. Sharing and Disclosure of Information
We do not share your personal information with third parties, except in the limited circumstances described below:
With Service Providers: We may engage third-party companies and individuals ("Service Providers") to perform services on our behalf, such as maintaining our technical infrastructure or performing service-related analytics. These Service Providers may include:
- Cloud Hosting Providers for secure data storage and backup.
- Authentication Services (like Google Sign-In) to create and manage your account authentication.
- Analytics and Crash Reporting Tools to help us understand app performance and fix bugs.
- Notification Services to send you service-related updates.
- Third party service providers for advertisements, analytics, marketing, and communications.
- Payment Service Providers.
- Logistic Partners.
- Support Partners.
- Large Language Model (LLM) and AI technology service providers — The App may contain certain features that leverage third-party generative AI technologies. Such features may leverage your prompts and other metrics collected through the Device to provide personalized inputs and experiences. Please note that we only share your metrics in a de-identified form with our LLM and AI technology partners. Please ensure that you do not share any Personal Data as part of prompts while using such features on the App. Our AI partners will not store or use any of your data (including in de-identified form) to train their models or improve their services.
For Legal Requirements: We may disclose your information if required by law, subpoena, or other legal process, or if we have a good faith belief that disclosure is reasonably necessary to comply with a legal obligation.
During Business Transfers: In the event that we are involved in a merger, acquisition, sale of all or a portion of our assets, or other business reorganization, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction.
4. Your Rights and Controls
We believe in providing you with meaningful control over your data. Applicable laws in your jurisdiction may grant you certain rights regarding your personal information, such as the right to access, correct, update, or delete your data, the right to grievance redressal and the right to nominate another person to exercise your rights in case of death or disability.
You have the right to request the deletion of your account and associated personal data at any time. To exercise this right and initiate a data deletion request, please contact us by sending an email to privacy@temple.com. Please note that the deletion of certain data may impact our ability to provide you Services.
If you want to exercise any rights in relation to your data, please contact the Grievance Officer whose details have been provided below in Section 7. Any such communication must be in writing.
If you are not satisfied with the resolution of your grievance, you have the right to file a complaint with the Data Protection Board of India (once in effect).
Do Not Track ("DNT") is a privacy preference that users can set in certain web browsers. Please note that we do not respond to or honor DNT signals or similar mechanisms transmitted by web browsers.
We may retain anonymized or aggregated data that does not personally identify you for analytical and reporting purposes and other such personal data as may be required for our compliance with applicable law or as long as is necessary for the purposes listed in the table above.
5. Security
These disclosures apply to personal data processed in the Indian jurisdiction. We take the security of your data seriously and implement industry-standard technical and organizational security measures to protect it from unauthorized access, use, or disclosure. These safeguards include:
- Technical Safeguards: End-to-end encryption for data transmission (e.g., TLS), database encryption at rest, and secure authentication protocols.
- Organizational Safeguards: Strict access controls, role-based permissions, and employee training on data protection.
While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your information, no method of transmission over the Internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure. Therefore, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.
6. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for other operational, legal, or regulatory reasons. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the new policy on this page and updating the "Effective Date" at the top. We will obtain explicit consent from you for changes to this Policy, where required under applicable data protection laws.
